Star witness badly tarnished -- again

For 13 days, jurors in Tony Rezko's corruption trial heard testimony from a true criminal -- a con man who stole, cheated, lied, used hard-core illegal drugs and thumbed his nose at his public duties.

Just one little problem: That person is not the one on trial. He's the prosecution's star witness, Stuart Levine.

The breadth of Levine's dirty deeds, brought out in painstaking detail by defense lawyer Joseph Duffy, has thus far eclipsed what Rezko's accused of.

Moreover, Duffy has tried to show that 30 years of drug use mangled Levine's memory. His cross examination is expected to conclude early this week.
