Fed: Australia to focus on new tourism markets - Hockey
Federal Tourism Minister JOE HOCKEY says Australia will refocus its international tourismmarketing efforts in a bid to reverse a decline caused by the deadly SARS virus.
Mr HOCKEY says the outbreak of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome is the biggest threatto Australia's tourism industry at the moment.
He's told the Seven Network big marketing budgets for Asia, parts of Europe and theUnited States will now be redirected to New Zealand, India and other countries not affectedby SARS.
Worldwide, the toll from the fast-spreading flu-like illness has risen to around 100.
